GRANT BREMNER
WRITER NOVELIST
BORN SCOTLAND 1944
Grant Bremner was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, but spent his entire working life with the BBC in London in a variety of positions within film and television. The youngest of six children, he had to leave his native country to continue his employment with the BBC in London where he spent the next twenty-five glorious years working in the television media.
He took early retirement due to worsening back problems and settled in southern Spain with his wife Sue where he began writing seriously. The publication of his first paperback, 'The Quest for the Holey Pail', coincided with his return from Spain with his wife and their adorable little dog Pippa to the cooler climate of Cheshire after 20 years in the sunshine.
Grant took up writing at the birth of the computer age when word processors only spoke the language of DOS. He was inspired to write stories following an interview L. Ron Hubbard gave to Rocky Mountain News where he said that budding writers should 'Write and write and write. And when you finish, write some more.'
Having won a number of prizes for his short stories he was encouraged to publish 4 books in e-format on Amazon. His first paperback 'The Quest for the Holey Pail' was published in March 2013, and having created Chaotic Space, an area where the laws of physics are somewhat random and therefore you can expect the unexpected, he has already finished the second novel in what he hopes to be a long series of Chaotic Space stories.
Grant has a son and a daughter and six grandchildren who live in the UK, affording more opportunity to see them, although they did enjoy visiting while he lived in Spain.
Whilst writing takes up a lot of his free time, he still manages to pursue his hobbies of photography, playing the keyboard and reading. He is extremely grateful for the active help and support given by his wife Sue that has allowed him the freedom to do what he likes best, writing.
